Still, in preparing for our trip, the book was very useful. The book is very informative. Unfortunately, at the last minute we did not get to go so I cannot speak about personal experiences but we hope to go next year and will use the book at that time.

It recommends buying some passes that will save you money in visiting many of the sights. It has really helped me a lot in planning our visit this fall. I like this book because it gives an indicator ranking to let you determine which attractions are worht spending time at and you can then determine how best to plan your limited travel days. There are also many trips for traveling in Ireland from tourist information spots, walking tours, money changing, phones laundry, and what not to do.
I will not travel without the book. I used Rick Steve's books traveling throughout Europe and find they are the best. His recommendations are great, not tourist traps.
